Peatys tubeless sealant
- A tubeless sealant compound that's non-hazardous, non-toxic, biodegradable, and so considerately designed that you'd think they'd read our minds!
We've never seen Bike Guru quite so happy as when a box full of Peaty's Tubeless Sealant arrived on the doorstep, but that might be because he seemed to think it was made by unicorns.
We don't blame him though; this formula - tried and tested by legend Steve Peat and a motley crew of the world's best Downhill and Enduro mountain bike racers - seems to dry up and ball-up less readily that other sealants, all the while being environmentally friendly.
This might be something to do with the 'nano-platelets' in the sealant (blue dots to you and I) that work like the platelets in your blood, assisting with the repair of larger holes and tears in the internal tyre. The blue dots look a bit like glitter, so if your tyres do blow out, it's sure to look mighty spectacular (don't worry, it's biodegradable too!).
With two 120 ml trail pouches, you'll have one to set you off to do two 27.5" wheels and another to hang onto for emergencies on the trail, with a 60 ml filling guide on the back, a re-sealable screw-top, and a spout that allows you to inject into a decored valve or directly into the tyre - as you like!
Instead of throwing the pouch away, you can save some dollar and the environment by refilling it from your 1 l workshop bottle!
