Alpinestars Vision 3 Wordmark Goggles – Black/Clear – MTB Enduro, Downhill and Motocross Goggles
MTB enduro and downhill goggles Alpinestars Vision 3 Wordmark bring a spec sheet you would normally expect a tier higher. The RAM-AIR venting system with 100 PPI foam keeps the clear lens fog-free on slow climbs, when your speed drops and your face heats up. The soft A-FLEX urethane frame is shaped to drop into the eye port of most modern full-face and enduro helmets. The hard-coated polycarbonate lens with tear-off posts is the same part used on the Vision 5 and Vision 8. A black frame with a clear lens suits forest trails, overcast days and evening rides, on the bike or on a motocross track.
Key features
- Value for money: RAM-AIR venting, 17mm face foam and a lens shared with the Vision 5 and Vision 8 at a lower price point.
- RAM-AIR venting (100 PPI foam): airflow clears the space behind the lens and stops it from fogging.
- A-FLEX urethane frame: shaped to fit the eye port of most modern helmets. A moisture channel routes sweat away from the lens.
- EO15 face foam (17 mm): dual layer, with a plush chammy layer against the skin that soaks up sweat.
- Hard-coated polycarbonate lens: anti-fog treatment, 100% UVA protection and improved scratch resistance.
- Tear-off posts and an ultra-wide field of view: the lens is also ready for the WIDE-VISION Roll-Off system.
- 45mm strap with silicone: silicone traction keeps the goggle on the helmet through rough descents.
RAM-AIR: why the lens stays clear
A lens fogs when warm, humid air from your face hits the cooler inside surface of the lens. It happens most on slow technical climbs or while waiting at the start, when almost no air moves around the goggle. The RAM-AIR system uses vents in the top and bottom of the frame. On the move, air flows through them and moisture leaves before it settles on the lens. The vents are covered with reticulated foam rated at 100 PPI (pores per inch). It lets air through but catches dust and grit thrown up by the rider ahead. The anti-fog coating on the inside of the lens covers the moments when you are standing still.
A-FLEX frame and helmet fit
The A-FLEX urethane stays soft even on a cold morning, so the frame follows the shape of your face and does not press on the bridge of your nose. Its profile is built for the eye port of common MTB full-face and motocross helmets. With an enduro helmet, flip the peak up and run the strap over the shell. A moisture channel molded into the frame draws sweat towards the edge of the goggle. The face foam has two layers: 17mm EO15 foam that seals the gap between frame and face, and a soft chammy layer against the skin. The 45mm strap spreads its tension over a larger area of the helmet, and the silicone stops it from sliding on hard landings.
Lens, tear-offs and spare parts
The clear polycarbonate lens is hard-coated, so a wipe with a muddy glove does not leave instant scratches. Tear-off posts sit on its edges. In a muddy race or in the rain, you pull off a dirty film in one move and get a clean view back. The lens and tear-offs are shared with the Vision 5 and Vision 8, which keeps spare parts easy to find. The ultra-wide field of view is also ready for the WIDE-VISION Roll-Off system, which winds a clean film across the lens instead of tearing it off.
What does EN 1938 certification mean?
EN 1938:2010 is the European standard for goggles worn by motorcycle and moped riders. It tests the optical quality of the lens, impact resistance and the strength of the frame and strap. The Vision 3 is certified under the Personal Protective Equipment Regulation (EU) 2016/425. Fast descents on a bike call for the same eye protection, with stones and branches flying off the front wheel.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Will the Vision 3 fit the eye port of an MTB full-face helmet?
Yes, the A-FLEX frame is shaped for the eye port of most modern full-face helmets, both cycling and motocross. The soft urethane also gives a little to match the edges of the port. If your helmet has an unusually narrow eye port, try the goggle on with it before you head out.
Can I wear them with an enduro helmet with a peak?
Yes. Raise the peak to its top position, run the strap around the back of the shell and the goggle sits under the peak. The silicone on the 45mm strap holds even on the smooth shell of an enduro helmet.
Which spare lenses and tear-offs fit the Vision 3?
The Vision 3 uses the same lens and the same tear-offs as the Alpinestars Vision 5 and Vision 8. The lens is also ready for the WIDE-VISION Roll-Off system. When swapping to a tinted lens, a part for any of these three lines will do.
Is the clear lens OK in bright sun?
The clear lens is filter category 0, with no tint. It is made for forest trails, overcast days, evenings and indoor tracks, where a tinted lens only cuts light you need. For open terrain in strong sun, a tinted or mirrored lens is the better choice, and it fits the Vision 3 frame without modification.
How do I clean an anti-fog lens?
Rinse the outside with water and dry it with a microfiber cloth. Do not rub the anti-fog inside surface while it is wet; just blot the moisture gently with a dry microfiber cloth. After a ride, let the face foam dry away from direct heat.

What Our Customers Say
A great shop with a thoroughly professional yet human approach. I have been ordering from them for a long time and there has never been any problem. Communication works perfectly and you know where you stand right from the start.
I now have my second Haro bike from Katmar Bike Center – this time an e-bike. Completely satisfied. Professional and helpful approach. I warmly recommend this shop.
Reliable. I bought a new chain, it turned out to be unsuitable, but exchanging it for another one was no problem.
