Full-suspension kids' mountain bike with 140/130 mm travel and 26"/24" mini-mullet wheels — for young shredders 130–145 cm tall riding trail, enduro and the bike park.
The Dartmoor Rocbird Junior 26/24 is a full-suspension kids' mountain bike for riders 130–145 cm tall who have outgrown a hardtail and want to ride trail, enduro and freeride lines at the bike park. The 6061-T6 aluminium frame gives 130 mm of rear travel, up front an air-sprung X-Fusion Velvet RL2 fork delivers 140 mm. The shock comes with a kids' tune, and the fork is set by air pressure to the child's weight. Wheels run a mini-mullet setup: 26" front, 24" rear. Shifting is Microshift Advent Junior 1×9, braking is hydraulic Tektro with short junior levers. Built for young shredders who ride all day with their parents and don't want to be left behind on the descents. The 2026 model comes in a gloss Copper Orange / Light Orange fade.
A 135 cm rider sits low on the bike and shifts back behind the saddle on steep descents. A big rear wheel would catch them from behind at that moment. The 24" rear wheel clears that space, while the 26" front wheel takes hits more smoothly than a 24" would. Chainstays are only 399 mm, so lifting the front over a root or a step is easy. Standover height is 610 mm – the child can stand over the bike with both feet on the ground.
A shock taken from an adult bike needs a certain force to get moving. A 30 kg child can't provide it, so the travel stays unused and the bike rattles. That's why the X-Fusion O2 Pro R 185×55 mm has a kids' tune with lighter damping, and the young rider actually gets to use the full travel. Rocbird kinematics start with a high leverage ratio, so the shock reacts to small bumps. Progression rises towards the end of the stroke and resists harsh bottom-outs. Both the X-Fusion Velvet RL2 fork and the shock are air-sprung – pressure is set with a shock pump to the current weight, so the suspension grows with the child.
The junior levers of the Tektro HD-J2820 brakes sit closer to the grip, so a child reaches them with one finger and can hold the brake through a long descent. Rotors are 180 mm on both wheels, the same as on the adult Rocbird Trail. Cranks are 155 mm instead of the usual 170–175 mm. A shorter crank suits a child's leg length and the pedal strikes rocks less often. The lowest 30/38 gear is enough for steeper climbs without pushing.
The Rocbird Junior uses the same solutions as the adult Rocbirds. The threaded BSA 73 bottom bracket is easy to service, and a cut-out on the shell lets you add an ISCG05 mount for a chain guide or bash guard. The SRAM UDH hanger is stocked by any bike shop, so a crash on the derailleur doesn't mean waiting for an original part. The Boost 148×12 mm rear hub and 15 mm front axle match adult bikes, so parts for upgrades or repairs are easy to find without hunting for kids' sizes.

Dartmoor sizes it for children roughly 130–145 cm tall, and the frame comes in a single size S. If your child is at the top of the range and growing fast, consider a bigger frame.
The manufacturer lists trail, enduro and freeride riding. It handles forest singletrack, rooty enduro descents and flow and jump lines at the bike park. Dartmoor doesn't recommend it for pure downhill tracks – 140/130 mm of travel is too little for those.
Both fork and shock are air-sprung, and pressure is set with a shock pump to the child's weight including gear. A good starting point is around 25–30% sag. Recheck the pressure whenever the child gains noticeable weight.
The Dartmoor Raptor rims are tubeless ready. The stock Kenda Amrak 2.4" tyres are wire-bead with a 30 TPI casing, so for tubeless it's better to switch to tyres marked tubeless ready and add valves and sealant.

A great shop with a thoroughly professional yet human approach. I have been ordering from them for a long time and there has never been any problem. Communication works perfectly and you know where you stand right from the start.
I now have my second Haro bike from Katmar Bike Center – this time an e-bike. Completely satisfied. Professional and helpful approach. I warmly recommend this shop.
Reliable. I bought a new chain, it turned out to be unsuitable, but exchanging it for another one was no problem.
