How ordering bikes from the central warehouse works

It is impossible for us to keep thousands of models, colors, and sizes physically in stock at our shop at any given time. However, we work closely with official distributors. If your desired bike is currently out of stock at our facility, we can secure it for you from the manufacturers' central warehouses, usually within 1 to 2 weeks. The entire process is very straightforward:

1. Bike Selection

  • Choose your model, size, and color on Katmar.cz.
  • For out-of-stock items, an estimated delivery time of 1–2 weeks is displayed.

2. Contact Us

  • Always contact us to verify availability before placing your order.
  • Use the inquiry form on the product page, send an email, or give us a call.

3. Availability and Delivery Check

  • We will immediately contact the official distributor of the brand.
  • We will promptly confirm if the bike is available and provide an exact delivery timeframe.

4. Binding Order and Deposit Payment

  • Place a standard order on our e-shop, and we will issue a deposit invoice.
  • The deposit payment serves as a confirmation of serious interest, ensuring that you will collect the bike.

5. Professional Preparation and Packing

  • As soon as the bike arrives, our mechanics completely prepare and precisely pack it.

6. Shipping the Bike to You

  • We hand the bike over to a specialized courier who will deliver it straight to your doorstep.
  • All you have to do is pay the remaining balance (if cash on delivery), straighten the handlebars, screw on the pedals, and you are ready to ride.

Why do you require a deposit?

The deposit serves as a mutual guarantee. Since we order and specify the bike model from the official distributor specifically for you, we need to be completely sure that you will collect the bike upon delivery and that it will not remain unsold in our stock.

How much will I pay for shipping?

For deliveries within the Czech Republic, the shipping cost for a completely assembled and tuned bike in a secure bicycle box is fixed. For international shipping, we calculate the delivery price individually based on the destination country and the current rates of the carrier.

Why isn't the bike permanently in stock at your shop?

The bicycle market offers a massive variety of combinations regarding models, colors, and specific frame sizes. It is physically impossible to hold all variants in stock at a single shop. Thanks to our direct link to central supplier warehouses, we can offer you the brand's full catalog without artificially increasing bike retail prices due to massive storage costs.

Do you accept international orders?

Yes, we regularly deliver bikes to customers outside the Czech Republic (such as Slovakia and other countries). The entire process of checking central warehouse availability works exactly the same way; only the shipping price and delivery time may vary.

What if the delivery from the central warehouse is delayed?

We maintain the 1–2 week delivery time under standard conditions. However, if an unexpected delay occurs on the official distributor's side, we will contact you immediately.

Do you charge any fee for individual import from the central warehouse?

No, the price displayed on the Katmar.cz e-shop is final. The costs associated with transporting the bike from the official distributor to our facility are fully covered by us. There are no hidden fees waiting for you.
