KS ETENi - Integra
KS ETENi Integra is an internally routed Kind Shock dropper post for riders who want an accessible entry into dropper posts with handlebar remote control.
What KS ETENi Integra is and how to choose it by diameter, travel and frame
Internal routing | Accessible KS range | 27.2 / 30.9 / 31.6 mm diameter | 100–125 mm travel | Length and insertion depth | Comparison with other KS ranges | FAQ
KS ETENi Integra is an internally routed Kind Shock dropper post, with the cable and housing routed inside the frame. Compared with a regular seatpost, it allows you to change saddle height while riding, so you can pedal efficiently and lower the saddle before a descent to gain more clearance over the bike.
From our experience, this range makes the most sense for riders who want to enter the world of KS dropper posts while keeping clean internal routing and handlebar remote control.
What KS ETENi Integra is
KS ETENi Integra belongs among the more accessible internally routed Kind Shock dropper posts. The Integra name means the control routing is handled inside the frame, with the cable connected from the lower part of the post. The result is a cleaner appearance without external cables than on externally routed models, and more practical control than on posts operated directly under the saddle.
This model is not intended as the highest racing-level range, but as a functional and more affordable solution for riders who want to move from a fixed seatpost to a dropper post. If you already know your frame is prepared for internal routing, KS ETENi Integra is a suitable option.
Who KS ETENi Integra makes sense for
KS ETENi Integra makes sense mainly as a first dropper post for riders who want better bike control in terrain, but do not need the most expensive option in the KS range. It can suit hardtail, MTB, XC or gravel use.
On a hardtail, it helps mainly on steeper descents and technical sections, where a lower saddle lets you work better with body position. On XC or gravel bikes, the goal does not have to be extreme travel, but the ability to quickly lower the saddle when you need more confidence on rougher or steeper sections.
Note: if your frame does not support internal routing, this range is not suitable for it. In that case, you need to choose an externally routed dropper post or another solution according to the frame design.
What internal routing and handlebar remote control mean, and what advantages they offer
KS ETENi Integra is designed for frames prepared for internally routed dropper posts. The housing runs through the frame and the cable connects to the lower part of the post. This keeps the routing away from the outside of the frame and gives the bike a cleaner look. Handlebar remote control is especially practical in terrain. You can lower or raise the saddle without taking your hands off the handlebars, which is a major difference compared with posts controlled directly under the saddle.
During installation, it is important that the housing inside the frame has no sharp bends and that the cable runs smoothly. Poor routing or too much resistance in the housing can make the lever, usually the KGP lever, feel worse and reduce the response of the post.
Seatpost diameter: KS ETENi Integra 27.2 / 30.9 / 31.6 mm
The seatpost diameter must match the frame exactly. A wrong diameter will not fit mechanically, so you should never choose it by guesswork.
KS ETENi Integra 27.2 mm is suited mainly for frames with a narrower seat tube, often on XC bikes, gravel bikes, older frames or some slimmer hardtails. With a 27.2 mm diameter, it is generally more important to check available travel, overall length and whether the post will actually fit into the frame.
KS ETENi Integra 30.9 mm and KS ETENi Integra 31.6 mm are aimed at more common MTB frames. These diameters are often found on hardtails and more modern mountain bikes where the frame may already have preparation for internal dropper post routing.
Always verify the diameter from the original seatpost, the technical specification of the frame or accurate measurement. With a dropper post, correct support in the frame is important because the post works under load and contains a moving mechanism.
Travel, length and insertion depth: 100 / 120 / 125 mm
With KS ETENi Integra, the most common travel options are 100 mm, 120 mm and 125 mm. Travel defines how many millimetres the saddle can drop. More travel gives more clearance over the bike, but it also usually means a longer post and higher demands on the frame and saddle height.
KS ETENi Integra 100 mm makes sense for smaller frames, shorter riders, XC, gravel or situations where frame space is limited. It is a shorter travel option that still brings noticeably better control than a fixed seatpost and is usually easier to fit to the frame.
KS ETENi Integra 120 mm and KS ETENi Integra 125 mm offer a bigger difference on descents and in technical riding. They suit riders who want more clearance over the bike, while still needing reasonable post length and frame compatibility.
Before choosing, measure not only the desired travel, but also your real saddle height and available insertion depth inside the frame. If the post is too long, it may not insert deeply enough and the saddle may remain too high even in the lowest possible mounting position.
How KS ETENi Integra differs from other internally routed KS ranges
Within internally routed KS dropper posts, KS ETENi Integra is considered an entry-level standard. It makes sense for riders who want a quality and functional internally routed dropper post for regular riding, but do not need the lightest or newest model range.
If you are looking for another option for more regular MTB or trail use, it may make sense to compare it with the KS e20i / Rage-I Integra range or the KS LEV Si Integra.
A higher and broader model range is KS LEV Integra, which makes sense for more demanding MTB, trail or enduro use. With all ranges, however, the same rule applies: diameter, travel, length and routing must fit first; only then does the model name itself matter.
What to check when choosing KS ETENi Integra
- Internal frame routing: The frame must be prepared for internal housing routing to the seatpost. If it is not, KS ETENi Integra is not a suitable choice.
- Seatpost diameter: Check whether you need 27.2 mm, 30.9 mm or 31.6 mm. The diameter must match the frame exactly.
- Travel: This range mainly uses 100, 120 and 125 mm. More travel is not automatically better if the post does not fit into the frame.
- Overall length: The post must allow correct saddle height when fully extended and must also insert deeply enough into the frame.
- Saddle height: Do not choose only by rider height. The important measurement is the real distance from the frame to the saddle rails at the correct setup.
- Cable and housing: Routing must be smooth, without sharp bends and with reasonable resistance. Poor routing makes the lever feel worse and slows the post response.
- Seatpost clamp: An overtightened seatpost clamp can negatively affect dropper post function. Tighten it carefully according to the frame and post recommendations.
In practice: first confirm that the frame has internal routing. Then check the seatpost diameter, measure the correct saddle height and available insertion depth inside the frame. Only after that should you choose between KS ETENi Integra variants by travel and length.
What frame is KS ETENi Integra suitable for?
KS ETENi Integra is suitable for a frame prepared for internal dropper post routing. The frame must allow the housing to run internally and the control cable to connect from the lower part of the post. If the frame does not have internal routing, you need to choose an externally routed option.
What diameter and travel should you choose for KS ETENi Integra?
Choose the diameter according to the frame: most commonly 27.2 mm, 30.9 mm or 31.6 mm. Choose travel according to saddle height, frame space and use. 100 mm makes sense for smaller frames or XC/gravel use, while 120–125 mm gives more clearance over the bike for MTB and hardtail use.
What is the difference between KS ETENi Integra and KS LEV Integra?
KS ETENi Integra is a more accessible entry into internally routed KS dropper posts. In contrast, KS LEV Integra is a higher range for broader MTB, trail and enduro use. With both, correct diameter, travel, overall length and frame compatibility remain essential.
